Investigation of Durability Properties for Lightweight Structural Concrete with Hemp Shives Instead of Aggregate

The paper presents the results of testing performance lightweight structural concrete containing hemp shives as an aggregate. It has been analysed how higher binder content and use Portland cement affect thermal microbiological properties concrete. aggregates plant origin are incompatible because chemical compounds, dissolved in water or alkaline environment, inhibit hydration. To avoid this, mineralisation is necessary. most often used hydrated lime, a mineraliser. An addition lime sodium trisilicate was for shiv tested materials with binder. Concrete binder, which volume share at 15%, prepared reference In remaining three concretes, total relation to (by mass) increased 2.5 times. shown that lime-binder offers promising antimicrobial strategy, it can bacterial fungal growth on their surface superior efficacy. best were obtained concretes cement–lime regarding compressive strength; average strength 9.56 MPa.
